Owner of the successful Graphic Design Firm TGS Design, Wimzie Prints creator Tanya Goodall Smith has been making greeting cards and stationery for family and friends since childhood. She often leaves notes on a loved one’s pillow, in a friend’s make-up bag or tucked inside her husband’s shoe.

Wimzie Prints brings all of Tanya’s passions to one fun place. She loves creating whimsical art and witty poetry. Her many travels, in contrast with a small town upbringing, lend a unique perspective to her artwork. Tanya happily resides in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and young son.

One of the things I really enjoy about greeting cards is getting to know some of the artists behind the artwork on them. 

Each artist has a unique story and a unique art style that helps the greeting card come to life. 

Today’s post focuses on card artist Anne Keenan Higgins.

The artist behind the popular Lu-lu collections, Anne Keenan Higgins was born and raised in Michigan and graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Anne Keenan Higgins began her career as an art director in advertising agencies in and around Detroit.

After a decade of living and working in northern California and Los Angeles, Anne Keenan Higgins now resides in Southeastern Michigan. When she’s not painting in her studio, Anne is biking, traveling or shopping for the perfect shoe.
