Once you’ve entered your address book into our system, it’s simple to create reminders to let you know that a special occasion is coming up.  Simply click on add a reminder and you’ll be able to choose the event type (Birthday, Anniversary, etc), the date of the event, and how far in advance you want to be reminded.  There’s even a field for first year so you can remember if this is the 49th or 50th birthday for that person, or have they been married 9 or 10 years?  The powerful online reminder system at CardCycle.com will e-mail you in advance of the occasion, giving you plenty of time to order them a card or gift and show them you care!

Christmas Memories Contest Winner

Our winner is Carole Jacobs who sent in this heart warming Christmas memory with a lesson for us all. Thanks for sharing your special memory with us Carole!

My dearest friend Patti and I were going to go and do up the day shopping in beautiful Carmel, Caifornia. Patti had finished her session with chemo and she was weak and not having more than a strand of hair on her head I felt it would be fun for her also to put on her darling wig and let’s go and do up the day. When I arrived at her house she answered the door with sweats and that one strand of hair sticking straight up and a necklace she had made of the old type large Christmas light bulbs with bells between them on a cord. She smiled at me and said hope you don’t mind us not going to Carmel, thought we would stay in and make these necklaces. I said what, I don’t think I would wear anything like that, it doesn’t match my outfit. Patti smiled with that cute smile of hers and said “Carole sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself”. I felt so ashamed thinking what she had gone through, and the tears ran down my face and I said, “Get the lights” and so we made our necklaces and laughed and cried that beautiful day.

Patti is no longer with me, but I still have her memories of her and Patti’s sparkling lights. I know that she is still sparkling at her resting place.
